What crime really is?

Society defines crime as a breach of rules and regulation for which some governing authority would convict the parson under the tag of Law, not every violation of the law be termed as a crime.

A criminal is the one whos activities are abnormal or in away breaching the society’s way of living. Such activities are goverened by by police in our society who carry on the procedures collecting evidence to prove that the person in their custody ihas performed an offence. He is then produced before the court of law and the judge decides whether he has to be punished or not based on evidences. Law in a democratic country is very essential as it is a driving force.

Crime can be categorised depending on the related punishment, with sentencing tariffs prescribed and based on the seriousness of the crime. Punishments can be anything between imprisonments for few days to years and sometimes the judgement is given away in fine format.

There are various types of crime property based crime and public order and violent crime.

In the united states the FBI categorises crime under UCR (uniform crime reports)part1 comprises of criminal offences such as murder, forcible rape,assaults,robbery, burglary,theft of motor vehicles and others fall into the part two and they could be categorically pushed into the civil law.
