Criminal defense has almost always been the most exciting as well as the most complicated aspect of law. People have often wondered what draws attorneys to defend some of the lowest people on this planet who are unable to segregate right from wrong. Is it the public exposure, the unlimited publicity or perhaps the big money involved?
Even though most critics would like to put all criminal defense lawyers in the same league, I would beg to differ from generalizing about the work and motives of most of the criminal lawyers. I agree, that while most of the criminal defense attorneys take up the trade for the above mentioned causes, but there are quite a few who genuinely want to ensure that justice is brought to those, who have in one way or another been wrongly accused of some criminal offense.
It is fact that the fraternity of law is full of ample examples of attorneys who have taken up criminal defense to earn name and money. However, we ought not to forget those warriors of law who have the courage of spending their lives in bringing justice to people who really need it.
